Creative brief :

The Ontario Tender Fruit Producers' (OTFP) Marketing Board represents all producers of tender fruit who market to either the fresh or processing market (local farmers that sell pears, peaches, plums, grapes and apples). The Board has more than 500 grower-members. More than 90 per cent of all tender fruit crop production is generated from the Niagara Peninsula. The remainder is located in Norfolk County and in Southwestern Ontario. With childhood obesity on the rise and exercise on the decline, imparting healthy eating habits on children is an essential life skill that rests with parents. But, getting a child to eat fresh fruit can sometimes take some convincing, coaxing and maybe even negotiating, which can pose a challenge for parents. The OTFP marketing board has requested the creation of a series of 15 second animated spots to help promote the benefits of healthy eating habits to their younger audience age 7 to 12 – YTV viewers. They would ideally like to have something that reflects who they are and help communicate their message of eating local fruit and staying healthy, but they would like the spots to be entertaining and humours. They are open to edgy concepts, but no blood and guts. Their goal is to have commercials that would be played on public schools closed circuit tv system and also on their web site with links to YouTube.

The Creative Director has decided that using Corel Painters Frame Stacks feature would allow you to create the animated spot that would appeal with their target audience and deliver the clients messages in an interesting way.

The client has indicated they like the look of several campaigns and have samples for reference. You must create your own original character and you can not use a trademarked or known characters.
