Objective

This is the first in series of assignments to gain comfort and knowledge with InDesign & Printing. The files you produce for this project will be in InDesign. The files will be technically accurate in colour theory, resolution and format.


Task

Produce a single, 2-page InDesign document
(front & back of the Event Pass )
& Webpage landing page graphics

You will use InDesign for the assembly of the event pass portion of the project & all text. Illustrator can be used for any vector work, and photoshop can be used for any bitmap/pixel editing.
Use Photoshop to create landing page artwork

To Start

Must come up with 3 full size pencil mock ups
(front & Back of Event pass & website landing page artwork to upload to the server as a pdf next week (WEEK 2)
mock-ups are worth 10% of final project mark.

Event Pass SPECS

Trim size of document is 2.875" x 4.74"
Non-facing pages- This print job has .125" bleed
Must create a dieline from provided template in InDesign
This is a Process Color print job (CMYK).
All bitmap images must be 300ppi
Any logos must be created/recreated using illustrator
(convert all text to outlines)
Must include some security feature. (Holligram or small text used as a graphic element.)
Must have a 1" stylized slug only on bottom of document with an image of you, contact info & personal vector cmyk logo

Front must contain vector logo + photoshop image or illustrator illustration + Display Text.
Back must contain event information text (you make up)
QR CODE (Go here to generate) * Make sure you choose URL from the dropdown menu before you generate your QR Code. Also choose the large version so we have the highest resolution to work from.

Based on the graphics created for the event Pass. Encouraged to use typography & image manipulation skills to create professional looking artwork.



Presentation


HARDCOPY (to hand in)
1 set of 8.5" x 11", Process Separated (CMYK) laser proofs of each of the two InDesign pages. Total of 10 proof pages.

1 colour proof of both sides with crops & registration marks included, centered on page, portrait layout. Attach colour proof to the 5 separated lasers of each page.

Include printed disk directory (Using "Print Window")

Please package lasers, Disk directory & cd in an 9X12 Envelope with your name & group written on the envelope, CD & hard copy proofs.

Attach a copy of the project grading-sheet to the front of the envelope - DOWNLOAD MARKING SHEET

Burn to a DISK (DVD-R or CD-R) Check Disk, It must work in our MAC labs

Include a Press Quality pdf with Trim Marks, Bleeds & Slug
